Advisory Board
The DE-CIX advisory board has 3 members. The members are appointed by the executive board of the eco association for a period of two years. Two members are customer representatives and one member represents eco.
Albrecht Kraas
Albrecht Kraas has been a member of the DE-CIX customer advisory board since January 2006. Albrecht is the Managing Director of SERICO GmbH and CTO of the euNetworks Group. In 1993 he started his Internet career with the UUNET/MCI in Germany. He also co-founded and was Managing Director of Intranet GmbH, AboveNet GmbH and World Switch GmbH (now GlobalSwitch). Albrecht was appointed sole Managing Director of Metromedia German Holding GmbH in 2000. During his three-year tenure he oversaw the installation of eight fiber-optic networks in major German cities, and the deployment of a national network. euNetworks is the successor of Metromedia in Europe.
Albrecht holds a Master’s degree (Diplom) in Computer Science from the University of Bonn.
Bernhard Krönung
Bernhard Krönung joined DE-CIX as a customer in 1997 and was elected spokesman of the DE-CIX Working-Group in 2003. After the DE-CIX Management GmbH was established, he was also elected to the advisory board of the company. In 1987 he started a small mailbox-bbs, which connected to the Internet/Usenet shortly thereafter - and while at the university, he started a small non-for profit ISP in 1992 - and after this in 1995 a professional business-ISP, regio[.NET].
Klaus Landefeld
Klaus Landefeld has been a member of the DE-CIX customer advisory board since January 2004. Klaus is the CEO of MegaAccess, a company focused on wireless Broadband Internet Access. He is also a member of the board at eco - German Internet Industry Association. Before MegaAccess, Klaus worked in various management roles including CTO positions at Tiscali and World Online. He was also the founder of nacamar, one of the first privately held Internet Providers in Germany.
